The mission of the Westerville Visitors and Convention Bureau is
to promote tourism and to attract visitors and events to the Westerville
area.
In compliance with State legislation approved in 1967 and 1980,
the City of Westerville enacted a city ordinance in 1987 that would
allow for the creation of the Westerville Visitors & Convention
Bureau. The WVCB) was formed and incorporated in March of 1988 and
today has an annual operating budget averaging approximately $80,000.00.
Sixty percent of those funds come from the lodging taxes collected
at Westerville's hotels and Bed & Breakfasts. The rest comes
from fundraisers and membership support. An independent Board of
Trustees governs the WVCB.
Meet our Staff and Board of Trustees:

Jeff
Hartnell is the WVCB's new Executive
Director. Jeff is originally from Michigan and played football for
(no, not the Wolverines) Michigan State.
Jeff has lived in
Westerville since 1978 and over the years has been involved in WASA,
JBBL baseball, the Westerville Education Foundation, the WVCB Board
of Trustees and is personally committed to supporting causes such as
Breast Cancer research and Diabetes Awareness. He has owned his own
marketing and communications firm in Westerville for almost 20
years.

Glenda Mihaly is the WVCB's Coordinator, which means she does
a little bit of everything! She is a Zanesville native and a
graduate of Maysville High School. She earned her BS in Journalism
from Ohio University and came to the Visitors Bureau after five
years as news reporter "Glenda Carr" on WNKO/WHTH Radio in Newark. Glenda
is always glad to help both visitors and residents.

The
Westerville Visitors and Convention Bureau assists visitors and
visiting groups with directions, itineraries, reservations, tours,
and anything else that will make their trip to Westerville an enjoyable
experience. We maintain a huge events listing so you can find out
what's going on during your planned visit.
Westerville and Central Ohio residents can always find out what's
happening in their own backyard from us. We sponsor family-oriented
special events and maintain a listing of city-sponsored and independent
events and schedules which you can check 24 hours a day on our website.
We will do our best to help you locate businesses which offer the
products and services you require and we will be glad to help find
a location for your family reunion, class reunion, wedding reception
or other celebration. If we can't help you with your request, we
will find someone who can!
You can find travel information from all over the State of Ohio
in our Visitors Center at 20 W. Main St. We can help you with directions,
provide you with maps and help you plan a day of fun for your family
right here in Westerville.
