Little Ghouls and Goblins will haunt the streets of Uptown Westerville during the merchants’ annual Midnight Madness. It is Friday, October 27th from 6 pm until the goblins go home! Families are encouraged to dress in their Halloween finest. Every year there are even families in costumes with a cohesive theme.
Merchants have a friendly competition decorating their stores and windows to vie for the coveted bragging rights of being named “Scariest”, “Most Creative or Unusual” or “Best Use of Store Merchandise/or Store Theme.
One such experience can be found at “The Haunted Garden” next to Blue Turtle at Uptown On Main (64 E. Main, 500 feet from State Street). After taking a ride on one of the horse-drawn hay wagons on Home Street, you take a shortcut through Haywood Alley to Main Street to get to “The Haunted Garden”.
Wander through the garden if you dare! Join loyal customers for a tea party where they are served by our butler. Enjoy “Trick or Tea” with your friends and family. Be afraid, be very afraid!! This garden is geared toward little ones with pumpkins and ghouls around every corner but not terrifying for most.
Photo ops abound throughout the garden and haunted creatures eagerly await to pose with you. But will they show up in your photos? Ooohh!
Treats and samples of Blue Turtle Tea & Spice Co. mulled cider and mulled spiced tea will be offered by friendlier spirits .
Other activities provided by the Westerville Uptown Merchants with the help of Uptown Westerville Inc. include Halloween movies, spooky science experiments, children’s activities and much more.
