SUMMARY:Field of Heroes
DESCRIPTION:Honor and remember the heroes in your life during Field of Heroes\, a powerful Memorial Day weekend tradition in Westerville. Hosted by the Westerville Sunrise Rotary Club\, this moving community event features a breathtaking display of more than 3\,000 American flags flying in perfect formation at the Westerville Sports Complex. \nEach flag represents a personal hero and can be dedicated to a veteran\, first responder\, family member\, or anyone who has made a meaningful impact. Visitors are invited to walk through the field of flags\, reflect\, and honor the individuals who serve and inspire our communities. \nThe weekend also includes special programs and activities such as a concert\, tribute programs\, and the Field of Heroes 5K Run/Walk\, creating opportunities for the community to come together in remembrance and celebration. \nThis year’s Field of Heroes will honor America250 by highlighting 250 years of military service and sacrifice. An expanded Education Tent will share stories of veterans across generations\, complemented by a commemorative America250 coin and printed Field Guides that deepen the experience. Together\, these elements create a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the individuals who have served our nation over the past 250 years. \n2026 Dates:May 22–25\, 2026 \nLocation:Westerville Sports Complex325 N Cleveland Ave\, Westerville\, Ohio\, 43082 \nSpecial Tribute\nReflect. Honor. Tradition. This year’s theme will be “We the People” \nThe flag display is open to the public throughout the weekend\, offering a meaningful way to reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day.
