**************************** PRESS RELEASE ******************************
May 15, 2020
Due to the ongoing situation with the coronavirus pandemic Visit Westerville will be cancelling the June 26, 2020 Mount Carmel St. Ann’s 4th Friday Festival. As we learn more information about community spread of the virus, there is simply not a way to safely have an event like this type of street festival.
Visit Westerville is committed to growing our Tourism Economy, however, the health and well-being of our community, visitors and team are a priority. Our team will continue to monitor the situation in conjunction with our state, city, and county health officials as well as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The Ohio Association of Convention & Visitors Bureau (OACVB) has specific Tourism Working Groups in place that are working fast and furious right now to provide the Governor with their recommendations for re-opening tourism related events like ours, specifically as it pertains to Large Venues/Convention Centers, Fairs & Festivals, and Attractions. Therefore, we expect an update from the Governor soon, although no exact timeline is in place for this, as of yet. A decision regarding July’s festival will be announced by Visit Westerville no later than June 19, 2020.
If you are a currently registered 4th Friday vendor through Event Hub and you have any questions about the status of your order or how to proceed, please contact Robin Collins directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Refunds will be issued to all vendors that have already paid for the month of June. If you need a refund receipt, please contact Robin Collins directly at email@example.com.
In an effort to support our valued 4th Friday Vendors, we have created a 4th Friday Virtual Vendor Marketplace that can be found on our website under the 4th Friday Tab or by clicking HERE
All vendors, food trucks and entertainment that were originally registered for April, May or June are included. We invite you to explore the marketplace at your leisure and help continue to support our local vendors.
