High Bank Co. opened its third location in Uptown Westerville in the old United States Post Office building at 28 S. State St. The full-service bar and restaurant features a 3,600 sq. ft. full-service bar and restaurant, two patios, a retail store, and exterior DORA windows. In addition to the bar and restaurant, High Bank will also be opening a 2,000 sq. ft. speakeasy underground their location, offering elevated and creative cocktails and light bites.

Los Altos Mexican Bar & Grill takes over the iconic movie theatre space that was formerly Blue Santa Mexican Grill at 8 N. State St. in Uptown Westerville. The restaurant will serve traditional Mexican fare from burritos to enchiladas with traditional recipes, fresh ingredients, and an atmosphere that feels like home.

Westerville's newest health food restaurant is now open in Uptown Westerville at 100 S. State St. Westerville's healthy hangout offers protein shakes, iced coffee, energy drinks, positive vibes and more!

Flavor and Fire's second Columbus location is now open in Westerville in the old Sugarbee's location located at  20 S. State St. A. In addition to their first location located at the North Market in Downtown Columbus, the new shop makes and sells gourmet quality hot sauces, salsas, condiments rubs and spices.  In the near future, the store will also be a DORA stop and offer patrons a chips and salsa bar.

DiCarlo's Pizza temporarily closed its doors last year in Westerville, but has recently reopened to bring their Steubenville-style pizza to the city.

Ethos + Co. Cafe is now open at 6576 Africa Rd. in Westerville. This cafe is 100% non-profit, and all proceeds go to She Has a Name and Out of the Darkness, two organizations that help sex trafficked and abused victims. Ethos + Co. Cafe is partnering with Florin Coffee for their espresso and drip offerings, and Off the Beaten Path Coffee, for specialty nitro drinks, like nitro apple cider and nitro pumpkin spiced lattes (hot or cold!), and they offer kombucha options as well. You're now able to grab a latte and a pastry, and give back to the community all while enjoying your treats in an airy, bright, beautiful space.

Asterisk Supper Club's sister restaurant, Ampersand Asian Supper Club, is coming to Uptown Westerville! Ampersand will feature chef driven ramen, rice bowls and small plates. We will also have Asian inspired cocktails, sake and multiple flavors of bubble tea. Ampersand will have a sleek modern ambiance and inviting patio.

A new restaurant - "Begin" - will be coming to Uptown Westerville on East Main Street later this year. The restaurant can be described as a cozy + casual cafe serving specialty coffees, bread, pastries, and drinks. Owners hope this will be a beacon for the community, where you can come begin your day, a conversation, a dream—there’s always room.

Abbey Rose Boutique, who offers an  eclectic mix of vintage, antique and new home decor, painted furniture, clothing, jewelry, linens, farmhouse items and more will be moving locations in early 2025. Their location in Uptown Westerville will officially close their doors in February and move to the Hoover Garden and Gift Center located at 182 N. Sunbury Rd. in Westerville.

Westerville will soon add Smash Park to its growing list of entertainment venues. The 50,000 sq. ft. indoor-outdoor "eatertainment destination" will be located in Westar Place and will provide community members with access to pickleball, axe throwing, dodgeball, trivia tournaments and more. Construction will begin this summer, and is slated to be completed in summer 2025.

Westerville is known as a “city within a park” and a new park coming soon will further prove that. Edge Adventure Park, a 10.5-acre wooded ravine between Vesper Way and Cleveland Avenue will soon be transformed to serve a dual purpose for workforce recruitment, worksite wellness pursuits and corporate fitness and team-building opportunities. While the park is still in the conceptual phase, potential activities could include a ropes course, tree swings, frisbee golf, a fitness circuit, seasonal sledding and fishing, a children’s garden, fire pits, kayaking, zip lining and more.

Blue Santa Closed

While Blue Santa Mexican Grill has officially closed it's doors in Uptown Westerville, another Mexican restaurant has taken over the iconic space of the old Westerville movie theatre building.
