Uptown Scrooge

Nov. 27-Dec. 18 (Saturdays & Sundays) | Uptown Westerville

Experience Dickens' classic holiday tale like never before in this immersive walking tour performance of A Christmas Carol. Uptown Scrooge is a theatrical performance spectacle that utilizes innovative storytelling, improvisation, music, and audience interaction to share the story of Charles Dickens' The Christmas Carol. Guided through the streets and shops of historic Uptown Westerville by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future, audience members go on Scrooge's journey, experiencing the magic and wonder of his holiday adventure first-hand. A unique holiday experience for the whole family.

Rudolph 5K Run and Children’s Christmas Parade

Dec. 4 | St. Paul Catholic Church

Show off your holiday spirit at the Westerville Lions Rudolph Run/Walk 5K, a family-friendly 5K event which will kick off the Westerville Lions Children’s Christmas Parade (taking place directly after the race). Holiday costumes encouraged!

Model Trains on Display

Dec. 4-7 | Westerville Public Library

Train enthusiasts of all ages will love this display of electric model trains – some operated by hand and some by an app.

Santa and Mrs. Claus in Uptown

Dec. 10, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.| Uptown Westerville

Get your four-legged friends ready, for photos with Santa Paws put on by Steveies Foundation and Captivating Canine.

Kids Night Out

Dec. 16, 5:30-8:30 p.m. | Westerville Community Center

Drop the kids off and enjoy an evening out or finish your holiday shopping! Participants will go swimming, climb the rock wall (if available), enjoy crafts, games and more! All activities are supervised by Recreation Staff. Pizza and drinks provided.

WACKY Kids Workshop

Dec. 19-20 | The Point at Otterbein

Get the kids out of the house to participate in the WACKY winter art workshop. There will be a different wintery theme each day.

City Hall Tree Lighting

Dec. 2 | Westerville City Hall

Come get in the holiday spirit by seeing the tree at City Hall be lit for the holidays. There’s no better tradition to kick off the season.

Westerville Symphony presents Sounds of the Season

Dec. 2, 7:30 p.m. | Fritsche Theatre at Otterbein University

After the tree lighting, enjoy a warm, wonderful Christmas performance all a glitter with the sparkle and glorious sounds of the Combined Bell Choirs of Westerville.

Christmas Open House

Dec. 6 and 8, 7-9 p.m.; Dec. 10, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. | Hanby House

The house is decorated for the holidays and visitors will be treated to live music in the parlor, refreshments in Shoemaker Cottage and guides to share the history of the house. This event does not require reservations and is free. Learn more about the Hanby House below.

Michael Griffin: Delightful Bites & Magical Sites

Progressive Concert Walking Tour

The progressive holiday concert will take place amongst the 3 churches located in Uptown with live Nativity at Messiah.

Dance Revolution presents The Nutcracker

Dec. 10, 2 p.m. & 6 p.m. | The Fritsche Theatre at Otterbein University

Come and see this wonderful performance of The Nutcracker at The Fritsche Theatre at Cowan Hall at Otterbein University. There will be two showings on December 10, the red cast at 2 p.m. and the gold cast at 6 p.m.

Uptown Ice Sculpture Tour

Tour the ice sculptures throughout Westerville. The tour starts at 5 p.m. and lasts until they melt!

The Drowsy Lads

WesterBall2023 - There's A Space For Us

Feb. 25 6-10 p.m. | The Point at Otterbein University

WesterBall is a community arts event and serves as a fundraiser for The Arts Council of Westerville. The event will identify passionate supporters of the arts, raise money for local arts & music programming, and help The Arts Council of Westerville realize their goal of a cultural arts center in Westerville. Attendees are encouraged to 'dress to the nines' for this spectacular evening featuring The Big Badd band, dancing, student & professional performances, silent auction, monster art rally, and SO MUCH MORE!
